Join us over Fall Break!

This Fall, we are excited to offer various workshops to engage your student in the arts. Learn more about these new offerings below. Each workshop is a unique concentration in an artistic discipline with a local artist over multiple days. A teaching artist will provide individualized instruction, feedback, and critique as students learn new techniques and expand their artistic repertoire. Students will learn about various artists for inspiration, and build skills to create artworks expressing their own ideas and interests.

• Ages 8-10 | Monday, October 6 - Wednesday, October 8, 2025 | 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
  • Workshop Title: Kinetic Circus: A Mixed Media Art Experience
  • Course ID: 71866
    • In this class, we will be making a circus platform using pipe cleaners and many other objects, with movable parts and characters created by each student. Together, each platform creates our circus parade!

• Ages 11-14 | Monday, October 13 - Wednesday, October 15, 2025 | 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
  • Workshop Title: Inspirational Art Card Deck

    • In this class, we will create art inspiration cards to clear creative blocks, challenge skill set techniques, and spark artistic inspiration.

• Ages 5-9 |Tuesday, October 14 - Thursday, October 16, 2025 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
  • Workshop Title: Paper Mache Pumpkins

    • Students will learn how to create a pumpkin form using paper mache techniques. Over this 3-day course, students will shape, layer, and decorate their own pumpkins, finishing with painting on the final day. This class is a fun way to create your own fall decoration, with no experience needed!

    • Superheroes or manga, silly or serious, comics can be all this and way (WAY) more. Mix art and writing to make your stories come to life!

Due to holiday closures, there will be no Winter Camp Workshop offerings. 

Daily Sign-In and Sign-Out at Community Arts, Shadelands (111 N. Wiget Ln.)

Parents and guardians must sign their student in and out of camp every day with the instructor. Please present photo identification to camp staff daily at sign-out to confirm your child's authorized pick-ups. Only those authorized adults whose names are on file will be allowed to retrieve your child from camp. There are no exceptions.

Students ages 11-14 have the option to sign themselves in and out. Parent or guardian must give consent by completing the Independent Student Form found below under Forms.
